Danny Arnold is the Director of operations for Plex. Together with his staff, Danny Arnold is recognized as the leader in providing innovative sports medicine and sports performance methods to help all athletes, regardless of level or sport, reach their potential. In doing so, Mr. Arnold has been able to personally design and implement intense and effective training and rehabilitation programs that provide unparalleled gains for all the athletes that use Plex. As one professional team coach simply put it, "Danny Arnold makes the best even better." Mr. Arnold has performed original research and has personally worked with thousands of athletes, from Olympic Gold Medalists and Heisman Trophy winners, to NFL & NBA All-Stars. All of Mr. Arnold's programs are the product of extensive study and participation in the areas of athletic conditioning, strength & speed techniques, position-specific training. As well as applied experience from the vast number of world-class experts he has access to. Although the research has granted him tremendous results, Mr. Arnold continues to research the precise motions, intensity levels, duration and intervals of workouts, so that he can continue to improve his athletes and help them to reach their full potential. Mr. Arnold’s success in this field can also be attributed to his extensive involvement with orthopedic surgeons, physical and occupational therapists, coaches, pro-scouts, past and current professional athletes, athletic trainers and exercise physiologists. Mr. Arnold, originally from Nicaragua, graduated from Texas Southern University where he also played football and ran track. After his colligate career, Mr. Arnold coached both football and track at TSU. Mr. Arnold also has an extensive background on nutrition and sports supplementation for athletes. Mr. Arnold was honored by the American Football Monthly publication last year as "One of the country’s most sought after coaches” . In keeping with his success and the demand for his expertise, Mr. Arnold was invited to host to his own radio show, which is broadcast in the 4th largest market in the country. “The Danny Arnold Show”, is a highly energetic weekly show related to health and fitness which airs every Saturday morning. Dr. Luu has been the Director of Sports Medicine for Plex since 2001. His protocols are unique in that he is able to integrate his extensive study of human anatomy and biomechanics with his performance training background to give his athletes and patients the best rehabilitation and training available. He has worked with thousands of athletes ranging from recreational athletes to professional and Olympic athletes. Dr. Luu's athlete's and patients are very grateful for the time and effort he puts into their programs, A current MLB player has been quoted as saying "Dr. Luu has added years to my MLB career, as long as I’m active, I wont trust anyone else but him for my health needs.” Dr. Luu has always been involved in the sports and health arena, He has complete eight years of instruction in karate, and has been in the health and fitness industry for the past fourteen years. Dr. Luu performed his undergraduate studies at University of Houston and graduated from TCC. He also has experience in Acupuncture and numerous soft tissue techniques that he incorporates into the care of his patients. Dr. Luu is extremely passionate about his work and combines his sports medicine philosophies with Danny Arnold's sports performance programs to allow Plex to offer an unsurpassed rehabilitation programs. Dr. Apryl Neal is a licensed Physical Therapist and certified Athletic Trainer. Dr. Neal has extensive experience working with collegiate athletes at Texas A&M University in various sports. While at Texas A&M University, she also had the opportunity to work closely with coaches, strength and conditioning specialists and team physicians to help athletes return to their sport more quickly without compromising their health. As an undergraduate, Dr. Neal spent time in the Exercise Physiology Lab where she helped conduct pulmonary function tests, graded exercise tests, and body composition tests, as well as ECG acquisition and interpretation. Dr. Neal also has extensive experience working with professional, Olympic, and amateur athletes, as well as continuing to work with younger athletes from sports centered summer camps, junior high school football, and club volleyball teams, Danny Arnold states, "Dr. Neal is great with all of our athletes, they give her unbelievable respect and follow everything she tells them, ultimately allowing them to come back from injuries or rehab assignments at a much quicker rate." Dr. Neal graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science. She received both her Masters Degree and Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Texas Woman’s University in Houston. Her hobbies include yoga, pilates, kickboxing, and spending time with friends and family.
Champ Glory, majored in biology and minored in psychology at the University of Houston to have a better understanding of how mind and body correlate on the playing field. While attending the University of Houston, Champ was a member of the football team and was the recipient of the Cougar Iron Man, an award given to the athlete that has made the most physical gains in all training and practice which also includes non absence to any off-season or in-season workout. Champ was also a finalist for best new athlete in Conference USA in 2001. Following his collegiate career, Champ played semi-professional football where he was honored second team all defense, first team all rookie, and runner up for rookie of the year award in the Gulf Coast League. He moved to a professional indoor league known as the N.I.F.L. (National Indoor Football League) and signed with the Dayton Bulldogs. He was immediately selected to be the Team Captain in the Spring/Summer in his first year. He then moved back to outdoor football after a successful indoor campaign. "Champ's dedication, enthusiasm and personal goal to get the most out of everyone at every workout, is what makes him rise above and beyond the rest when it comes to sports performance training. Not too many people I’ve seen in my experience that have that type of passion towards their athletes.” Says Danny Arnold about Champ.
Noelia Suarez graduated from the University of Puerto Rico Ponce, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training, Noelia participated in numerous events working as an Athletic Trainer throughout college and since graduating in 1999. She has worked with a variety of sports and athletes from all skill levels . Most notably, Noelia worked extensively with the Albergue Olimpico in Puerto Rico which serves as the country's Olympic Training Center (much like the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs) as well as professional and collegiate athletes. At Plex, Noelia has a broad range of responsibility in the Sports Medicine department. Regardless of sport or skill of athlete that she works with he main objective is the same as the one our entire team has, "See in people more than they see in themselves, and bring it out of them."
Arthur Quintero is the Head Chef for Plex Cafe', the in-house kitchen for all of the Plex clients and family members. A kitchen that is able to feed everyone with all the necessary nourishment necessary for total performance success, while still extremely tasty. In addition to internal meals, Plex has its own healthy-to-go signature line, Plex Meals.
Dr. Kristin Anderson, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist and our sport psychology consultant. She has been in private practice for 14 years. In addition to her clinical practice, she consults with athletes, teams and coaches of all ages and all levels of skill. She helps athletes perform at their highest level more consistently. She works with excellent athletes who are desiring an extra edge and teams wanting to promote teamwork. She works with specific problem areas such as choking, anger, and perfectionism. She consults with athletes who are struggling due to the frustration of an injury and rehab. She understands the complex balance of integrating the sports world with a life outside sport and how each can enhance the other. Dr. Anderson graduated summa cum laude from Oklahoma Christian and earned her doctorate with honors from Oklahoma State. She completed her residency at the University of Texas Medical School here in Houston. In addition to her private practice, she teaches psychology full time at Houston Community College. For two years she has been the sport psychology consultant for Willowbrook Sports Complex. Dr. Anderson knows sports not just as a spectator but as a professional athlete. She played quarterback for four years for the 3-time champion Houston Energy—the women’s professional football team of Houston. She is now retired after a shoulder injury, but continues to play flag football, tennis, golf and loves to travel and scuba dive.
